The first injury reports for the season finale between the Detroit Lions and your Minnesota Vikings came out yesterday. The list for the Vikings is pretty darn extensive at this point, with a lot of players missing Wednesday’s practice session. Let’s take a look at their report.
Did Not Participate
- K Dan Bailey (back)
- RB Dalvin Cook (non-injury)
- CB Cameron Dantzler (hamstring)
- DE Jalyn Holmes (groin)
- CB Chris Jones (groin)
- LB Eric Kendricks (calf)
- DE Ifeadi Odenigbo (chest)
Limited Participation
- LB Todd Davis (ribs)
- LB Troy Dye (concussion/hamstring)
- FB C.J. Ham (quad)
- RB Alexander Mattison (concussion)
Full Participation
- DT Armon Watts (ankle)
Yes, the Vikings already have enough DNPs to fill out an entire inactive list, which is not an encouraging sign. We already know Cook’s status for Sunday, as the team has already said that he will miss Sunday’s game. In the event that Bailey is unable to go with his back injury, the Vikings have kicker Taylor Bertolet on the practice squad to be elevated.
The Lions’ injury report is much shorter, but still has some significant names on it.
Did Not Participate
- WR Danny Amendola (non-injury)
- LB Jamie Collins Sr. (neck)
- G Joe Dahl (back)
- WR Kenny Golladay (hip)
- QB Matthew Stafford (rib/right thumb)
Limited Participation
- OL Tyrell Crosby (ankle)
- OL Frank Ragnow (throat)
Full Participation

Stafford is obviously the big one for the Lions here. He played in the first game between these two teams after missing the week of practice because he was placed on the COVID-19 list and eventually gave way to Chase Daniel. He was hurt in the Lions’ Week 16 loss to Tampa Bay and only played the first few series. Golladay missed the first game between these two teams and seems likely to miss this one as well.
Those are your initial injury reports for this weekend’s season finale, folks. We’ll have more updates over the next couple of days as the injury reports change.
