We’re into the third week of XFL v2.0, and overall things appear to be going pretty well for the new league, in my opinion. The football action has been enjoyable and it appears that Vince McMahon has got his folks focused on football and player safety rather than things like, I don’t know, cheerleader locker room cameras and that sort of thing.
So far, each of the XFL’s divisions has a team that’s 2-0, two teams at 1-1, and one team at 0-2. Let’s take a look at this week’s schedule.
The first game of the weekend will feature the home opener for the Tampa Bay Vipers (0-2), one of two teams that played their first two games on the road. They’ll be hosting the Houston Roughnecks (2-0) to get things started. The game will be broadcast on ABC, and will kick off at 1:00 PM Central.
The late game for Saturday will take us out to the West Coast, as the Seattle Dragons (1-1) will play host to the Dallas Renegades (1-1). Kickoff for this one is set for 4:00 PM Central and it will be broadcast on FOX.
The last team to play their home opener will be the St. Louis Battlehawks (1-1), who will kick off the Sunday slate by hosting the New York Guardians (1-1). ESPN will be your host for this game, which will get underway at 2:00 PM Central time.
The weekend will end in Los Angeles, with the L.A. Wildcats (0-2) playing host to the D.C. Defenders (2-0). This one will get started at 5:00 PM Central, and you can watch it on Fox Sports 1.
Four games, four cities, four different networks. . .that’s what we’ve got for Week 3 of XFL action, folks! If you’re going to be watching the games, come sit in with your fellow Minnesota Vikings fans and let us know what you think!
