Tony Williams #94...

Merry Wednesday, everyone!

We’ve reached the peak of this strange week, I hope everyone is doing okay and remaining safe. We don’t have many confirmed cases in our neck of the woods yet, but activity around town has slowed considerably. I’m very thankful that I’m able to continue working and that I’m allowed to do so from home. It’s hard to resist kiddo’s requests to play Legos with him, but I’m doing my best.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

The Vikings picked up XFL LB DeMarquis Gates, per Chris.

Red Cup Rebellion also reported the DeMarquis Gates signing.

MarkSP18 posted his Vikings Off Season Plan v9.0.

Chris posted Chris Mock 1.0: Mock of Ages.

What’s everybody playing now that we’re all spending more time at home?

Other Vikings/NFL news, and random oddities and annoyances:

The NFL is to institute coronavirus mandates sometime tonight, per ESPN.

NFL.com grades the trades from the 2020 free agency period.

NFL.com has a list of all the notable free agency departures for each team.

The Sporting News looks at why the Panthers decided to move on from Cam Newton.

CBS Sports lists the biggest needs still remaining for all 32 teams.

We come to today’s media selection:

I may need some suggestions to keep the theme going, but I found one for today. Enjoy!

We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags|
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.|
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, and try the rocky mountain oysters.
