Good Morning, It’s Thorsday!

I’m off service finally after a week, let me tell you it was a long week at work. I’m going to be salty about the Stefon Diggs trade for quite a while, he was my favorite current Vikings player and arguably the best player on the team. What endeared me to him was watching him play catch with kids on the sideline prior to the game at Jacksonville in 2016, it also doesn’t help matters at all that I don’t understand the direction of the team right now. We have some free agency signings to beat to death discuss from yesterday, for a change....has anyone mentioned the stock market yet today? Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thorsday - I was informed this is cultural appropriation, I’m not smart and still don’t know what that means.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

We come to today’s media selection:
REM - It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
Tired of this yet? To bad, it’s one of my favorites!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, don’t touch your waiter’s face and Welcome Aboard!
