Recently, we put together one of our FanPulse polls to ask you, the fans of the Minnesota Vikings, what you think the team’s biggest need is this offseason. Even though there were four choices presented, two of them were the clear favorites among those of you that responded.
Of the four positions that were presented, ninety percent of the votes went to the two positions you see above. Out of everyone that responded, 57% said that the Vikings’ biggest need is still. . .still. . .the offensive line, while 33% gave the nod to the Vikings’ (likely) soon-to-be depleted defensive backfield.
The other two choices that were presented received the other 10% of the vote, with the split being 8% saying that the defensive line was Minnesota’s biggest need, and 2%. . .for whatever reason. . .saying that it’s quarterback.
This flies in the face of what the draft experts are saying, as nearly 70% of the mocks that we polled for our most recent Mock Draft Database have tabbed the Vikings to take a defensive back in April. Of course, I suppose the poll above takes free agency into account as well, and though the Vikings might not be big players on that front, there’s still the chance that they could find someone there that could help out a unit that has, seemingly, been “rebuilding” for about five years now.
Let’s ask the same question outside of the context of FanPulse, shall we? What do you think is the Vikings’ biggest need this offseason?
What do you think the biggest offseason need is for the Minnesota Vikings?
