Tuesday Open Thread: April 14, 2020

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Man, I was sad to hear about Tarvaris Jackson’s accident yesterday, far too young. It reminded me that I need to take time to stop and enjoy moments, and enjoy the day I’m in instead of using too much of my time looking ahead and worrying about tomorrow. Stop and build the Legos, as they say, or maybe they say something about smelling flowers or something, I prefer Legos........or fishing.

Also, it snowed here yesterday. I didn’t like seeing that, I’m ready for warm weather. Speaking of which, I’m ALMOST finished restoring the boat. I will have pictures once I’m finished, it’s looking awesome, and I’ve been able to keep everything original, with the exception of the floor. I had to take the floor out because there were a couple of soft spots in the wood sub-floor, so I took out the floor, replaced the wood that needed replacing, and put new vinyl down. Other than that, it’s just as it was in 1978 when my uncle bought it new. It has been a fun project.

The virtual off-season program is set to begin on April 20, per NFL.com. I think it’s just a coincidence that they’re starting on 4/20 in the first league year of the new CBA, which has much more pot-friendly rules written within it.

From ESPN, Sources say that the Panthers and Christian McCaffrey agreed to terms on a deal that made him the highest paid RB in NFL history. The four-year extension is said to average $16 million a year. You know, that fella named “Sources” sure knows a lot of stuff, and he always knows it before the reporters do. He should just start his own news place.
