With their second first-round pick. . .and a trade back. . .in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings filled their need at the cornerback position with the selection of Texas Christian standout Jeff Gladney.
The Vikings lost their top three cornerbacks from 2019. . .Xavier Rhodes, Trae Waynes, and Mackensie Alexander. . .to either free agency or roster cuts. That means there’s going to be an opportunity for Gladney to contribute early on. He seems like the sort of corner that Mike Zimmer would love with his ability in man-to-man coverage.
