Welcome to the First Annual 2nd and 3rd Round Daily Norseman Zoom meeting! Shoutout to GA Skol for the Zoom meeting idea. GA Skol and I did a practice meeting last night and it went well. For now, we’re only planning to do this event tonight as tomorrow’s rounds (4th through 7th) tend to progress very quickly and are hard to keep up with. I’ve posted some Zoom hints below and we’re going to maintain the same rules we’ve always had for the Open Threads.
I’m still expecting the Vikings to move up in the 2nd round, hopefully for an interior defensive lineman or interior offensive lineman. Also on my wish list tonight is a safety.
For the purposes of this meeting, you can either use your real name or Daily Norseman username (my suggestion is DN username). Any current Daily Norseman active user is welcome to join, please do not share the meeting ID or password anywhere else.
Zoom Meeting Best Practices:
Control video and audio quality.
Adjust your lighting.
Think about your background.
Practice speaking to the camera and not the screen.
Optimize Zoom.
Mute your microphone when necessary.
Use Zoom’s chat function.
Use a background, remember you’re essentially inviting people to look in your home.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
