With their third pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and their first selection on Day Two, the Minnesota Vikings got some help on the offensive line with the selection of Boise State University offensive tackle Ezra Cleveland.
According to sources on social media, the selection of Cleveland apparently takes the Vikings out of a potential Trent Williams deal with the Washington Redskins. Washington was reportedly asking for a second-round pick for Williams, but the Vikings balked at that deal and decided to take Cleveland, who had fallen to 58.
Cleveland would appear to be a solid fit in the zone blocking scheme the Vikings are running now. He has 40 college starts under his belt at left tackle, and his athletic ability should help him to get on the field pretty early for the Vikings.
We want to know what you think of the selection of Ezra Cleveland by the Minnesota Vikings, so even though it’s way too early for draft grades, let us know your opinion!
