An inter-division trade? That’s strange.

Rick Spielman is at it again, as the Minnesota Vikings have swung yet another deal in the 2020 NFL Draft. This time, they’ve made a rare intra-divisional swap with the Chicago Bears.

The Vikings sent Pick #155 overall, which was a part of the Stefon Diggs trade, to their division rivals, the Chicago Bears. In exchange, the Vikings have gotten the Bears’ fourth-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.

This means that the Vikings are using some of these selections to pick up ammo for the next draft. With all of the picks the Vikings have, that doesn’t seem like the worst move.

The Bears then used pick #155 to select Tulsa defensive end Trevis Gipson.

So, the Vikings’ next pick is now set to come up at #169 overall. Be sure to keep it tuned right here for all the picks the Vikings make or trade or do whatever else with!
