For the last of their three picks in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings got themselves a linebacker that should be able to immediately start on special teams.
The Vikings grabbed Oregon linebacker Troy Dye with Pick #132 in this year’s draft, a player that was a Second-Team All-Pac 12 performer in three consecutive seasons. He didn’t do much in the pre-draft process, as he had surgery after playing the final four games of the 2019 season with a torn meniscus.
Dye is someone that isn’t going to unseat Eric Kendricks or Anthony Barr at the linebacker spot, but has enough athletic ability where he should be able to contribute as a core special teams player if he can stay healthy.
What do you think of the selection of Troy Dye by the Minnesota Vikings in this year’s draft? go ahead and vote in our poll and leave your comments below!
