The Minnesota Vikings went back to get themselves some offensive line help in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, selecting Oregon State offensive tackle Blake Brandel with Pick #203 overall.
I don’t know much about Brandel, but a couple of folks that do put some pretty intriguing numbers out there about him.
New #Vikings Tackle Blake Brandel

Average 830 snaps a season and only allowed 5 pressures in 2019, and 80 total pressures in his career. #SKOL
Given that Brandel started every game he ever played at Oregon State, starting with his freshman year, that’s a pretty impressive number.
I’ve seen some speculation online that Brandel could wind up at guard, but 6’7” is an awfully tall guard. I’m not saying it can’t happen. . .I just think it would be weird, that’s all.
Does anyone out there have some Blake Brandel knowledge they’d like to drop on us? If so, feel free to do so in the comments! Go ahead and vote in our poll as well to let us know what you think.
