Late in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings actually drafted a quarterback, as they called the name of University of Iowa signal caller Nate Stanley with pick #244 overall.
I’m not sure what sort of potential Stanley has as a potential backup for the long-term. I do know that the Vikings definitely need to do something at that spot, as I’ve said in this space numerous times that I don’t think Sean Mannion is that guy. His likely destination, at least to begin with, is the #3 guy/clipboard holder, but perhaps he can turn into more than that.
What do you think of the selection of Nate Stanley, folks? Do we have any Iowa fans out there that want to let us know what’s up? Feel free to drop your knowledge in the comments and vote in our poll as well. Our coverage of the 2020 NFL Draft is nearly over with.
