In this episode:
Myles Gorham and Yinka Ayinde join Jayson Brown to discuss the Last Dance documentary and if there are lessons which can be applied to the Vikings. As we get started, the boys tooks a moment to get caught up on what everyone has been up to since our last recording. Myles, an introvert, and Yinka, an extrovert, offer very different views on how they’re being personally affected by the isolation brought on by the government’s response to COVID-19.

The discussion then turned to Last Dance and everyone shared their favorite moments in the documentary. Myles wondered out loud if Michael Jordan’s leadership style and off the court activities would’ve been tolerated today while also making the point that the greatest of all-time was able to be that while also having interest outside of his sport.

There was a brief dialogue comparing Michael Jordan to Lebron James in which Jayson comped Lebron to “Goliath” and said while “Michael Jordan is clearly the GOAT, Lebron James is probably a better basketball player.”

We dive into Part 2 of the episode by examining the leadership style of Phil Jackson and wondering what lessons Mike Zimmer could learn from Phil’s ability to manage big personalities. Jayson also asked if an NFL team could have sustained success if the QB is not the “alpha” in the locker room.
