Good Morning, It’s Thorsday!
Your Thorsday Open Thread is up, running, and ready for business. We’ll see the Vikings schedule release tonight; I predict a range of “I don’t see a loss on the schedule” to “0-60” I think most of us are somewhere in between that dichotomy. Quick update on my son as he has his follow up on Tuesday; he’s out of the hand/forearm splint and now has a single splint on his finger. The hand surgeon had to fuse the first joint due to damage from the saw so he will have some limited mobility in that finger. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thorsday - I was informed this is cultural appropriation, but I’m not smart and still don’t know what that means.
Around the DN since our last open thread:

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, don’t touch your waiter’s face and Welcome Aboard!
