We are just a couple of hours away from the release of the Minnesota Vikings’ 2020 NFL Schedule, and we are going to be tracking everything we can to the best of our ability between now and the time the schedule is released.
Below is a rough outline of the schedule, along with all the gaps we’ve been able to fill in thus far from leaks and other things on the internets. We will update everything as we learn more. All times are in Central time, and all of the dates are currently Sunday of that week (with two exceptions at present) and will change when we find out which prime time games the Vikings are taking part in.

Here are the things we’ve been able to confirm so far:
- Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune (among others) is reporting that the Vikings, for the first time in team history, will host the Green Bay Packers to start their season.
- Seattle media is reporting that the Vikings will play the Seahawks in Seattle in prime time. . .again. . .on 18 October (Week 6), a Sunday Night Football matchup.
- Our friends at Windy City Gridiron have gotten the entire Bears’ schedule, so we can confirm those two matchups. For the first time in the history of U.S. Bank Stadium, the regular season finale will not involve the Bears coming to Minnesota.
- The game at U.S. Bank Stadium against the Jacksonville Jaguars has been confirmed as well.
- Numerous reports have the Vikings playing the New Orleans Saints on Christmas Day in New Orleans, so we’ll just go ahead and pencil that one in, too.
- The Bears and Packers are confirmed for Week 17, which means that the Vikings will be playing the Detroit Lions to finish the regular season.
There you have it, folks! Once again, we’ll be updating this with any information we can get leading up to the official release at approximately 6:30 PM Central.
