Good Morning, It’s Thorsday!

Your Thorsday Open Thread is up, running, and ready for business. Four or five years ago a bunch of blogs including The Daily Norseman, did a “Love Our Lurkers” day in order to encourage people who lurked on their blog without commenting to come out of the shadows, say hi and maybe stick around for some conversation. I thought it would be fun to try and get those that lurk to come out, say hi and see if they’d like to stick around. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thorsday - I was informed this is cultural appropriation, but I’m not smart and still don’t know what that means.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, try the buffet and Welcome Aboard!

Topic of the Day: If you’re a lurker on the News and Links drop us a comment and let us know how long you’ve been following the Daily Norseman. Also, if you’re a lurker or infrequent commenter and have a question for Gone Fishin or myself put your question in the comments and we’ll do our best to answer your question. If you’re a regular here, let us know how long you lurked before you started commenting and what year that was, I’ll put my answer in the comments.
