Good Morning, It’s Friday!

Not much news concerning our favorite football team we love to hate, time is counting down towards the onset of training camp. It’s getting to be time for the NFL to make a decision about training camp and the season; I’m going they make the best decision in regards to the fans and players....and send the Packers overseas. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s weekend eve, knock off early and have a beer (or Zima) on me, because I’ll be at work.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to your wash your hands, tip your waiter and Welcome Aboard!

Question of the day: With the addition of a new NT (Michael Pierce); 3tech (rookie James Lynch); DE (Ifeadi Odenigbo) and possibly a new defensive alignment (4-3 Under Front) do you think the Vikings run defense will improve, particularly in games that matter for playoff seeding or advancement? (I’m thinking about the second Packers game and the 49ers playoff game)
