Good Morning, It’s Thorsday!

Your Thorsday Open Thread is up, running, and ready for business. It’s late, I’m exhausted so let’s do this. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thorsday - I was informed this is cultural appropriation, but I’m not smart and still don’t know what that means.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Report: NFL to cut preseason schedule in half.

What was your favorite Vikings win over a division rival?

From Judd Zulgad ponders: Vikings would be wise to buy low on Chargers cornerback Desmond King II.

Packers sign QB Jordan Love to fully guaranteed rookie deal.

Chiefs DT Chris Jones looking for $20M per year ‘or I won’t play’

Shaq Thompson: Teddy Bridgewater ‘is back,’ Cam Newtonstill has it

We come to today’s media selection: The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Purple Haze

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, try the buffet and Welcome Aboard!

Topic of the Day: Who was the best first round selection by the Vikings in the last twenty years, and (one for you doomers) who was the worst first round selection in the last twenty years?
