The draft pick signings just keep on coming for the Minnesota Vikings, as they’ve signed the player that could end up being their return specialist this coming season.

K.J. Osborn became the fourth member of the Vikings’ rookie class to put pen to paper, inking a four-year, $3.6 million deal on Wednesday. The deal includes a signing bonus of approximately $600,000.

Osborn played his college football at the University of Miami, and though he was solid as a wide receiver for the Hurricanes, he was very good as a returner as well, averaging nearly 16 yards per punt return. That could be the primary role that the Vikings have in mind for him, as the team appears to have moved on from Marcus Sherels. . .again. . .and might be wary of having someone like Mike Hughes returning punts given the state of the cornerbacks.

We will continue tracking the Vikings’ rookie signings here this afternoon, as they’re coming in fast and furious.
