Today is the day that Minnesota Vikings rookies are to report to Eagan for Training Camp, and the front office is getting some of the last-minute business out of the way before the festivities start.

That includes continuing to sign their 15-member draft class to their rookie deals, and that continued today with safety Josh Metellus putting pen to paper. He has agreed to a four-year deal worth $3.455 million dollars and a signing bonus of right around $160,000.

The Vikings selected Metellus in the sixth round of the draft in April, and he will have an opportunity to come in and compete for a spot behind the NFL’s best safety duo. He could also, potentially, see some time as a linebacker, working as the sort of hybrid type that we mentioned when talking about Troy Dye signing yesterday.

We will continue tracking all of the signings and the terms of their rookie deals here for everyone to see, so stay tuned because we’ve got more coming.
