Merry Wednesday, everyone!
Well, more football-y things to talk about today, woo-hoo! Dalvin Cook reported to training camp on time (I’m not surprised), he obviously saw that there was very little upside to holding out, and very little downside to showing up, especially with uncertainty surrounding the season. In the end, it’s good news for the Vikings, because Cook is a dynamic player and the offense drops a gear when he’s not on the field. I think he and the team will get a deal done soon anyway.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
The Vikings placed two players on the non-football injury list yesterday, Chris has the details.
From Chris, Dalvin Cook reported to training camp on time.
Michael Zahorsky highlights five rookies who the Vikings must develop quickly.
UDFA rookie Michael Pierce has chosen to opt out of the 2020 season.
Arif posted Norse Code Podcast Episode 329: Dumb as Hell.
Other Vikings/NFL news, and random oddities and annoyances:
From the Washington Post, Aaron Rodgers says he reacted to the Jordan Love draft selection with four fingers of Tequila. As of today, he has almost half of it drank.
From the Houston Chronicle, Joey Bosa is rumored to have signed a five year contract extension with the Chargers for $135 million. If true, it would make Bosa the highest paid defensive player in the NFL.
At NFL.com, Robert Smith weighed in on Zimmer’s contract extension, among other topics.
From SI.com Danielle Hunter logged in at #40 and Dalvin Cook came in at #21 on NFL.com’s top 100.
Vikings.com has full highlights of all 15 Vikings draft picks.
We come to today’s media selection:
Hey, here’s one that just popped into my head for some reason, it’s Ballroom Blitz by Krokus. Enjoy!
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t wash your hands, touch each other’s faces often, and try the finger food.
