The COVID-19 list continues to expand for the Minnesota Vikings, and their latest addition is the most prominent player they’ve placed on the list to date.
Per numerous reports, the latest addition to the Vikings’ reserve/COVID-19 list is linebacker Anthony Barr, who was added on Thursday.
Barr is entering his seventh season with the Vikings, having been drafted by the team in 2014 out of UCLA. He has started since his rookie year and been to the Pro Bowl four times, heading to the postseason All-Star game every year from 2015 to 2018.
Barr is the eighth player that the Vikings have added to the COVID-19 list since players started reporting to camp last Tuesday, along with defensive tackle Michael Pierce opting out of the 2020 season entirely. It’s important to remember, as we always remind you. . .and sing along if you know the words. . .that being placed on the COVID-19 list does not necessarily mean that the player has tested positive for COVID-19. It can also mean that they have been in proximity to someone that has or had it.
As always, as more news along this front develops with our favorite football team, we will bring it to you here as quickly as possible.
