Good Morning, It’s Monday!

Gone Fishin is visiting family in....checks map...western North Dakota which I’m fairly sure is actually Montana so I’ll be filling in this week until my regular day to post the thread on Thorsday. Keeping in mind tradition, today is the greatest day of the work week according to Fishin, and since I’m not at work today I’ll agree. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Monday, the greatest day of the week!

Around the DN since our last open thread:

(solid list so far in the comments)

From The Voice of the Vikings, Paul Allen, joined ‘NFL Now’ to talk about RB Dalvin Cook’s contract situation, QB Kirk Cousins’ career-season in 2019 and expectations for him and the offense in 2020, and more.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports NFLPA members vote for no preseason games in 2020.

We come to today’s media selection:
The Charlie Daniels Band - The Devil Went Down to Georgia

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to your wash your hands, tip your waiter and Welcome Aboard!
