Three weeks from tomorrow. . .presumably. . .we will all be glued to our couches and recliners as the Minnesota Vikings play host to the Green Bay Packers in what could be the strangest season in the history of the National Football League. With no preseason hype and not a lot of news coming out of Training Camps, it’s hard to believe that we’ve almost made it to the start of the season.
As I surf the internet today, it occurs to me that I haven’t given fantasy football a whole lot of thought this year. I put myself into the lottery for a spot in this year’s Norse Code leagues and I’m probably going to end up in my league with a bunch of guys that I’ve known online for years, but I can’t say I’ve done anything resembling serious prep or anything for fantasy football in 2020.
For the last couple of years, the league I’ve been in with some of my co-workers has done its draft at the local Buffalo Wild Wings, but obviously that’s not an option for this year. We’re probably going to end up not having a work league this year, which is kind of a bummer. I’m pretty far removed from the days where I was in eight or nine fantasy football leagues a season, but this year it looks like I’m going to be down to two.
But what about you folks out there? Are you planning on playing fantasy football this season? Are you in a league that’s been going for a number of years? Has your long-time league been put on hold for the pandemic? If you are playing, is your team adapting rules in light of COVID-19 as far as roster moves and things of that nature?
Are you going to be playing fantasy football this year?
