Good morning Horners! Vikings versus Packers for week 1 has been played and Flipmazzi, Drew and Dave from Good Morning Gjallarhorn went live after the game in GMG In The Raw! Like the game yesterday, it was a little raw. The Vikings looked like they were playing a preseason game against the Packers. Unfortunately, that team from Wisconsin played like the game actually counted… which it did. The final score was 43-34 in the loss, but as they say, “it wasn’t that close.”
The defense set records yesterday; most points scored against in the Mike Zimmer era, most points given up at home for the same time period, Aaron Rodgers not being sacked for the first time in 10 years by the Vikes, and finally that the defense was on the field longer than any game in franchise history. Yikes! That all hurts doesn’t it. Could it get any worse?
Play from Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook, the wide receivers from Adam Thielen, Bisi Johnson, Justin Jefferson, TE Irv Smith Jr., and even Tajae Sharpe was talked about. How do you think the new-look O-line fare? Was the D-line the pressure? The young corners? Let us know. Who was the best Vikings player on the day? Was it Eric Kendricks or punter Britton Colquitt? LOL. Watch or listen and let us know with this slightly censored version of the live show.
