Last week, the Minnesota Vikings went into their game with the Indianapolis Colts down one starter as rookie Cameron Dantzler was sidelined with a rib issue. As they started preparing for their Week 3 matchup with the Tennessee Titans at U.S. Bank Stadium, they have still more issues at the cornerback position to deal with.
Here is the full report from practice today.
Did Not Participate
- RB Mike Boone (concussion)
- CB Cameron Dantzler (rib)
- LB Troy Dye (foot)
- CB Mike Hughes (neck)
Limited Participation
- OT Riley Reiff (ankle)
Full Participation
No players listed
So now the Vikings could be down not just Dantzler, but Hughes as well. It’s even more scary for Hughes because he was placed on IR at the end of last season after suffering a neck injury in the meaningless finale against the Bears. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious, but any sort of neck or head injury isn’t anything to mess around with.
The Titans had quite a few names on their injury report as well.
Did Not Participate
- WR A.J. Brown (knee)
- CB Malcolm Butler (quad)
- DB Chris Jackson (hamstring)
- OT Dennis Kelly (illness)
- LB Derick Roberson (illness)
- TE Jonnu Smith (ankle)
Limited Participation
No players listed
Full Participation
- LB Vic Beasley (knee)
- OL Jamil Douglas (hand)
- RB Darrynton Evans (hamstring)
- CB Johnathan Joseph (calf)
That’s a look at the initial injury report for both teams as they prepare for Sunday’s game. We will definitely be keeping an eye on these as we get closer to kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium.
