Weekend Eve Open Thread

Robert Smith #26...

Good Morning, It’s Friday!

It’s weekend eve, time to start planning what to put on the smoker or grill this weekend. Since I cutoff Sunday Ticket I won’t have a way to watch the Vikings-Titans game, but I’ll follow on Twitter or the game thread. I see Coral remains the suboptimal commenting thread we thought it was, looking at you Coral developers....fix it. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s the Friday, time to take half a day off and start the weekend early!

Around the DN since our last open thread:

We come to today’s media selection: Disturbed “The Sound Of Silence”

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, wear a mask, complain about Coral and Welcome Aboard!
