As they make their way down to 53 players, the Minnesota Vikings are waiving a wide receiver that had gotten quite a bit of hype this preseason.

Reports have come out that the team is waiving receiver Alexander Hollins.

Hollins signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent last season, and was elevated to the 53-man roster late in the year, even getting some opportunities in the team’s playoff victory over the New Orleans Saints. He had reportedly been one of the stars of Training Camp from the limited information that was available from the media, which makes it a bit of a surprise that he is being let go.

The Vikings would definitely like to bring Hollins back to the practice squad, according to reports.

We’re getting closer to the Vikings having their 53-man roster set as the 3:00 PM Central time deadline approaches. You can follow all of the roster moves right here.
