If the Minnesota Vikings want MOAR FULLBACK to back up C.J. Ham, they’re going to have to look elsewhere as things stand right now.
The team has waived fullback Jake Bargas, according to numerous reports.
The Vikings signed Bargas as part of the UDFA signing blitz following April’s NFL Draft. Bargas served mainly as a blocking tight end during his career at the University of North Carolina, but made the transition to fullback during camp for the Vikings.
The indications are strong that the Vikings would like to bring Bargas back to the practice squad. The Vikings attempted to hide FB Khari Blasingame on the practice squad last year, but he ultimately got signed by the Tennessee Titans. The fullback is becoming a bit of a dying breed in the NFL, though, so maybe it won’t happen twice.
Still more moves coming as the Vikings get their roster down to 53 players. You can follow all of the moves on our Roster Cut Tracker.
