Vikings waive LB Blake Lynch

Another linebacker out for the Vikings

NFL: Minnesota Vikings-Training Camp Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

As we get closer to the Minnesota Vikings reducing their roster to 53 players, we have another released to report to you.

The team has waived linebacker Blake Lynch as a part of today’s roster cutdown.

Lynch was signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor after this past April’s draft. He is not to be confused with James Lynch, who the Vikings selected in the fourth round of April’s draft and also played his college ball at Baylor.

The Vikings have had some issues at linebacker in Training Camp with Ben Gedeon remaining on the Physically Unable to Perform List. At the present time, however, it does not appear that Lynch will be the answer for the purple.

No indication at the present time of whether or not the team is interested in bringing Lynch to the practice squad.

The Vikings are continuing to make moves on this Saturday morning to reduce their roster, and you can follow them all right here on our Roster Cut Tracker.
