He could come back to the practice squad

We have more cuts to bring you from the Minnesota Vikings as they push their roster down to the league-mandated 53 players by the 3:00 PM Central time deadline.

Per numerous reports, the Vikings have waived cornerback Mark Fields II.

The Vikings acquired Fields last season in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Vikings sent a conditional seventh-round draft pick to the Chiefs, but since the conditions were not met, they essentially got Fields for free. After the Vikings waived Fields, he came back to the team as a member of the practice squad.

Indications are that the Vikings would like to bring Fields back to the practice squad again, but we will have to see if that works out.

We still have plenty of moves for the Vikings to make before the team gets down to 53 players, and there are just over three hours until the deadline. We are keeping you up to date on all of the moves on our Roster Cut Tracker.
