Vikings waive CB Nevelle Clarke

But he could be back with the practice squad

We are now about 45 minutes away from the NFL’s roster deadline, and the Minnesota Vikings still have a handful of moves they have to make to get down to 53 players. They’ve made one of those moves with the release of an undrafted free agent.

The Vikings have waived cornerback Nevelle Clarke, according to numerous sources.

Clarke signed with the Vikings after going undrafted this past April following a successful career at the University of Central Florida. He started out on the Non-Football Injury list for the Vikings, but was quickly activated before the start of Training Camp practices.

The Vikings could have some interest in bringing Clarke back to be a part of their expanded practice squad, but we won’t know if that happens for sure until tomorrow.

By our count, the Vikings still have to make five more moves to get their roster to 53 before the deadline at 3:00 PM Central. We’re tracking all of the moves for you with our Roster Cut Tracker, so keep refreshing that to keep yourself up to date.
