Good Morning, It’s Thursday!
I’m back on service for the next seven days, I did get my second Covid vaccine yesterday, I’ll update everyone if/when I have any side effects but so far I’ve been disappointed in the nanobots. GA Skol did an excellent write up for Championship Weekend, make sure you give his article a read. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thursday, one more day until weekend eve.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Norse Code Podcast Episode 364: One Million (Vibes). Norse Code returns to discuss the lack of news coming out of the Vikings and their Offensive Coordinator position. We also go over the major news in the league including Deshaun Watson, the Divisional Playoffs, and a fantastic Bears press conference.
GA Skol has your Championship Weekend Preview.

We come to today’s media selection: Blind Melon - No Rain
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Take the gender hatred elsewhere, it won’t be tolerated
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-If discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, tip your waiter from a safe distance, have another beer, and Welcome Aboard!
Poll
If Trey Lance, QB NDSU is available when the Vikings select with the 14th pick in the draft should the Vikings pick him and let him sit for one to two years?
This poll is closed
-
29%
Yes, it’s all about the future with a QB on his first contract.
-
23%
Yes but two years is too long to sit. Draft him and try to move Cousins to a team ready to compete in the playoffs.
-
41%
No, the team is committed to Cousins. Trade with a QB needy team to recoup the 2nd round pick and more.
