We’re about 48 hours or so from the kickoff of the NFC Championship Game, so it’s time for us as Minnesota Vikings fans to discuss which Super Bowl matchup we’re hoping to see since our team. . .sigh. . .isn’t going to be there.
The NFC Championship Game will pit the Green Bay Packers against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and that will be followed by the AFC Championship Game between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Now, I think I can be relatively certain when I say that most Vikings fans are not going to be cheering for Green Bay to make it to the Super Bowl. Sure, there are probably some in the “I want to see the Packers make it to the Super Bowl just so they can get crushed by (insert AFC team here).” I understand that sentiment, but. . .well, we’re Vikings fans. When has anything like that ever worked out for us, seriously?
The AFC side would appear to be a bit more intriguing. I know that folks are going to be cheering for both teams, whether it’s because you’re hoping that Stefon Diggs gets to the big game or you don’t want to see another team get their first Lombardi Trophy before the Vikings finally get theirs. It should be a good game regardless.
So, we’ve got two separate poll questions here. One of them is which Super Bowl matchup are you cheering for, and the other is which matchup you think we’ll actually get. Have at it, folks!
