One half of the matchup for Super Bowl LV will be determined this afternoon at Lambeau Field, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head north to face the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.
Green Bay got a week off as the #1 seed in the NFC, and advanced to this game by taking down the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional round last week by a final score of 32-18. The Buccaneers are on the road for the third consecutive week in these playoffs, having defeated the Washington Football Team in the Wild Card round by a score of 31-23 and taking down the New Orleans Saints last week by a final tally of 30-20.
These two teams met earlier this season in Tampa, and the Buccaneers throttled the Packers by a final score of 38-10 back in mid-October. I think I can safely state that most of us are hoping for a repeat performance.
Although it’s going to be a chilly one in Green Bay today, the weather really shouldn’t play too much of a factor according to our friends at WeatherNation. Temperatures at kickoff are going to be right around the freezing mark with winds coming out of the west at 5-10 miles an hour. No precipitation is in the forecast for today’s game.
So, if you’re going to be watching this one, come on in and talk about it with your fellow Vikings fans! We’ll have a thread for the AFC Championship Game dropping about 30 minutes before kickoff of that one.
