Merry hump day, everyone!
We’re trudging along through the work week, we’ve reached the peak, now we can enjoy the easy downhill coast into the weekend. I hope the weather cooperates, kiddo and I want to get out to do a little ice fishing & camp out overnight in the ice house. This winter has been abnormally warm here on Hoth, so the ice situation is a bit sketchy, but the smaller lakes should be plenty thick. Just to be safe, I’ll pull our stuff out onto the lake in the sled, I have no desire to park my pickup at the bottom of the lake. We’ll see, hopefully I have some fish pictures to share on Monday.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
The Vikings will need to find cap space somewhere, but it won’t be via another Kyle Rudolph contract restructure, Chris has the details. We may have seen the last of Rudolph’s long tenure with the Vikings. I’m a big fan of Rudolph, he’s one of the good guys of this world, a class act as well as a great player. I’ll always be thankful for all he’s done at the Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, he’s had more impact on more lives than he can imagine.

Other Vikings/NFL news, and random oddities and annoyances:
From NFL.com, the Packers CEO stated that there is no way that Aaron Rodgers leaves, then added “we’re not idiots”. Now let’s compare that endorsement to the next one from the Rams GM Snead, who was asked about his team’s quarterback, and he said ‘Jared Goff is a Ram at this moment’.
We come to today’s media selection:
Here’s a great tune from one of the best guitar players ever. This is Stevie Ray Vaughn with “Look at Little Sister”. Enjoy!
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Take the gender hatred elsewhere, it won’t be tolerated
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-If discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on, don’t forget to tip the cows and settle in, it’s going to be a long off season.
