The 2020 regular season is pretty much over, so we now know who the Minnesota Vikings will play in 2021. Here is the full list of opponents for the purple:
Home Games
- Chicago Bears
- Detroit Lions
- Green Bay Packers
- Los Angeles Rams
- Seattle Seahawks
- Cleveland Browns
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Dallas Cowboys
Away Games
- Chicago Bears
- Detroit Lions
- Green Bay Packers
- Arizona Cardinals
- San Francisco 49ers
- Baltimore Ravens
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Carolina Panthers
These opponents are based on the Vikings matching up with the NFC West and the AFC North next season, plus the third-place teams in the NFC East (Dallas) and NFC South (Carolina).
Last week we mentioned the league potentially going to a 17-game schedule, and the rumors are circulating that if it does happen the NFC North will match up with the AFC West. That means they would take on the third-place team in that division, which is the Los Angeles Chargers. We don’t know where that game would be played. . .whether it’s in Minnesota, Los Angeles, or some sort of neutral-site game. . .but that’s the rumor that’s going around.
The actual schedule won’t be released until right around draft time, but now we know who the Vikings will be playing and where next season.
