Weekend Open Thread

Good Morning!

No football until next weekend so I’ll have more time to get projects done around the house, I put LED lights up a few weeks ago, I’m not sure what I want to do next. mrs_rob has been hinting at painting the inside of the house (it does need to get done) however so far I’ve successfully played the smart husband card and have not picked up any of the hints getting dropped my way. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s the weekend, time to check the beer menu and get some stuff done around the house.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, tip your waiter from a safe distance, try the tiger meat, and Welcome Aboard!
