For a good cause, of course

UPDATE: I forgot the link to the auction on the Thielen Foundation website. You can find it right here.

Fans of the television program Jeopardy! are well aware that the show’s legendary host, Alex Trebek, passed away back in November following a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer. When the Minnesota Vikings played the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football the next week, Vikings’ wide receiver Adam Thielen honored Trebek on his cleats, as you can see in the picture above.

Now, Thielen is auctioning off those cleats for a good cause, as he will be donating all of the proceeds from the auction to a charity that is leading the fight against pancreatic cancer.

The auction started on Friday and will continue until noon Central time on Friday, 15 January. All of the proceeds, as mentioned, will go to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Alex Trebek’s final episode of Jeopardy! aired yesterday. I’ve got it on the DVR but haven’t been able to bring myself to watch it yet. I’m sure that there are plenty of folks among you that grew up watching Jeopardy! as well and probably feel the same way.

Here’s hoping that the Thielen Foundation’s auction raises a ton of money for PanCan in their fight against pancreatic cancer.
