Peak of the week!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Alright, we’re halfway through this work week. We have no football to look forward to this week, as the Vikings are heading into their bye week. Anyone have anything special planned? I think kiddo and I are going to take advantage of the free time, and try to squeeze in one more night of camping and fishing. We normally don’t have that option this late in the year, but the weather is still fairly mild up here, so I think we’ll get out and spend the evening outdoors this weekend. I also forsee something going on the smoker at some point, and possibly a pot of chili. Heck, why not both?

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook have been nominated for the FedEx Air and Ground Awards, Chris has the details.

The Vikings activated Kene Nwangwu from IR, and released Ameer Abdullah, per Chris.

Arif posted Norse Code Podcast Episode 394: It Sucks Watching This Team Sometimes.

Luft Krigare posted CTP Mondays - Confidence Building.

GASkol brings you the latest Nincompoop of the Week: Week 6 (Panthers).

reidellr4 posted Unbelievable! - Control the Moment.

Other Vikings/NFL news and random oddities and annoyances:

Ravens LT Ronnie Staley will undergo season-ending surgery on his ankle for the second straight year, from the Baltimore Sun.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.

With that, the bar light is on and the thread is open. Don’t forget to tip the cows, and try the tiger meat.
