It’s time to update the injury reports for the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys as they prepare for their matchup on Sunday Night Football this week. The two teams have released their Thursday injury reports, so let’s take a look at what’s changed.
Dallas Cowboys
Did Not Participate
No players listed
Limited Participation
- DE Dorance Armstrong (ankle)
- CB Trevon Diggs (ankle)
- QB Dak Prescott (calf)
- OT Tyron Smith (ankle)
Full Participation
- DE Randy Gregory (knee)
- WR Cedrick Wilson (shoulder)
- S Donovan Wilson (groin)
There aren’t any changes on the surface on the Cowboys’ injury report. All of the players they listed on the first report have the same status this afternoon. However, this observation from Chad Graff of the Athletic points to something possibly being up with Cowboys’ quarterback Dak Prescott.
Whoa. Vegas apparently got the impression today that Dak Prescott won’t play against the Vikings. The line has moved all the way from Cowboys -2.5 at one point to Vikings -2.5 now, per @BetMGM. pic.twitter.com/hPbvUc4PuP

I know that, sometimes, people in Vegas “know things,” but the only explanation for a swing that large is the belief that Prescott isn’t going to play and the Cowboys will have to go with Cooper Rush at quarterback on Sunday night. Is that going to happen? I certainly don’t know, but we’ll continue keeping an eye on it.
Minnesota Vikings
Did Not Participate
- DT Michael Pierce (elbow)
- WR Dede Westbrook (ankle)
Limited Participation
No players listed
Full Participation
- LB Anthony Barr (knee, upgrade from LP on Wednesday)
- RB Alexander Mattison (shoulder)
- WR Adam Thielen (foot)
Tight end Ben Ellefson is no longer listed on the injury report because, as we informed you earlier today, he’s been placed on injured reserve by the Vikings.
The only change outside of Ellefson’s status is Barr being upgraded to a full participant. Pierce continues not to practice and it’s starting to look (and feel) like he’s going to miss his third consecutive game for the Vikings on Sunday.
Final injury reports come out sometime tomorrow afternoon, folks, and we’ll have them right here for you as soon as they drop.
