What’s the worst that can happen?

Don’t look now, but it appears that the bye week has given fans of the Minnesota Vikings a boost of confidence going into a very difficult part of their schedule.

According to our latest SB Nation Reacts poll, we are back up to more than a majority of fans that have confidence in the team. The figure is now up to 54%, which isn’t terribly high, but given how low it had dropped it’s still a pretty nice recovery.

  • Post-2021 NFL Draft: 96%
  • Week 1: 61%
  • Week 2: 34%
  • Week 3: 38%
  • Week 4: 76%
  • Week 5: 14%
  • Week 6: 24%
  • Week 7: 36%
  • Week 8: 54%

We also had one Vikings-specific question for this week, as we asked how everyone thought the Vikings would do with their four-game gauntlet coming out of the bye (vs Dallas, at Baltimore, at Los Angeles Chargers, vs Green Bay). Folks seem to be pretty even-keeled about this, as 65% of those that responded said that the Vikings will split those four games.

  • 2-2: 65%
  • 3-1: 20%
  • 1-3: 11%
  • 0-4: 2%
  • 4-0: 2%

Here’s hoping that the Vikings handle these next four games at least as well as 85% of the fans think they’re going to. The competitive portion of the season will basically be over if they don’t.

Here’s how the rest of our Reacts questions for the week shook out:

Will Deshaun Watson be traded before the deadline?

  • No - 53%
  • Yes - 47%

Is there an elite team in the AFC?

  • Yes - 53%
  • No - 47%

Will there be a trade deadline move that dramatically impacts the fantasy football world?

  • No - 65%
  • Yes - 35%

Would you have returned Tom Brady’s 600th touchdown ball?

  • Yes - 69%
  • No - 31%

Those are our SB Nation Reacts results for this week, folks. Will we see another jump in confidence after Sunday Night Football or is the roller coaster due to hit another dip?
