We are a little more than 48 hours away from the kickoff of Sunday Night Football on NBC between the Dallas Cowboys and your Minnesota Vikings. The final injury reports are out for each team, and it looks like the quarterback drama for the visiting team is going to go right up until game time. Let’s take a look at the reports for both teams.

Dallas Cowboys Week 8 Injury Report

Donovan Wilson S Groin FP FP FP ---

Obviously, as we’ve been talking about for the past couple of days, the big one is Prescott’s status. Reports have been swirling that he was sore on Friday after Thursday’s workout but that was “expected.” The team has also said that it isn’t just about one game when it comes to whether or not Prescott will take the field this Sunday.

We likely won’t know what’s going on with the Cowboys’ quarterback situation until the inactive lists come out on Sunday afternoon, and we might not even know then. If there are any more developments on this story, we will definitely bring them to you here right away.

Minnesota Vikings Week 8 Injury Report

Adam Thielen WR Foot FP FP LP ---

The Vikings will once again be without the Juggernaut on Sunday night, as Michael Pierce will miss his third consecutive game with his elbow injury. Rookie Patrick Jones II is a late addition to the injury report, signaling that he got hurt in practice on Thursday or something along those lines. We haven’t gotten anything on that front yet. I would expect that Kenny Willekes will be elevated from the practice squad and be ready to rotate in at the defensive end spot with Stephen Weatherly having been dealt to Denver and Jones now on the shelf.

Westbrook appears to be a game-time decision as well, as the Vikings will have to figure out whether or not they have another player on the roster that’s capable of giving me a mild heart attack every time the other team punts the football. Seriously.

Those are your final injury reports for the Vikings and the Cowboys, folks. Again, we’ll update you on any developments concerning the injuries for either team, and we’ll have plenty more coverage of this one leading up to Carrie Underwood singing the SNF theme.
