Happy Thursday, everyone!
There are two things an organization must do when they’re undergoing a restructure, when they’re making changes at key positions and are altering the organization’s ‘image’. First, they must purge their organization of the ‘old’, and that includes getting rid of many of the ways that they did things, and it includes seeing some key personnel move on to other places as well. They do this to make way for the second thing they msut do, and that is to bring in new ideas, new ways of doing things, and new personnel who will replace those who have left. The Vikings have gotten number one underway, and in their quest to make changes, and also to find much-needed cap room, they’ve created vacancies at some important positions. Let’s hope they have a plan in place to fill those positions, because heading into the draft with the strategy of “ah, we’ll find a good left tackle in the draft, we’ll be fine” hasn’t turned out so well in the recent past. I cringe at the thought of our less-than-mobile QB taking center behind a dumpster fire O-line like we had in 2015. I do believe that Rick and company have a strategy in place, let’s hope I’m correct.

This scene with Tom Greene from Freddy Got Fingered comes to mind anytime I read about someone being released or fired. Enjoy!
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Take the gender hatred elsewhere, it won’t be tolerated
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-If discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on, don’t forget to tip the cows and grab a cold one, this could get entertaining.
