Details of the Patrick Peterson deal have been reported on Twitter.
$8M base salary
$1M incentive for 95% Playing Time (considered likely to be earned)
$1M incentive for All-Pro (considered unlikely to be earned)
This means a $9M cap hit for 2021 and $1M potentially added in 2022 if Peterson is named All-Pro
Patrick hasn’t been All-Pro since 2015. I would say that is unlikely to occur in 2021. The 95% playing time is a distinct possibility if he stays healthy and gets a starting CB or S role.
Thank you Ben Goessling for reporting the details.
