Good Morning!

It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for, it’s officially Kirk Cousins Guaranteed Money Day! I know most of us are happy to see QB1 get wrapped up by the Vikings for two more years. Of course the previous two sentences, consistent with the open thread, were sarcasm. I was hoping the Vikings would find a way to move Kirk this offseason via trade and look to get one of the top tier QB’s in the draft this year, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s weekend eve time to, plan the beer and meat menu for the weekend, unless you’re working this weekend like I am.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, tip your waiter from a safe distance, and Welcome Aboard!
