The Vikings have signed former Cowboys safety Xavier Woods to a one year $2.25M contract. $1.75M of that is guaranteed ($1.25M salary + $500k signing bonus) and $500k are incentives that will not count against the cap this year.
Xavier right now will be the leading candidate to be at safety next to Harrison Smith and gives us some flexibility in the draft. Xavier is coming off a down year according to his PFF grades. He could be depth or could end up starting depending on the remaining moves prior to the season.
