Friday Open Thread

Super Bowl XI - Oakland Raiders v Minnesota Vikings

Good Morning!

Yesterday’s temporary outage across SB Nation was not actually a Coral problem, it was an issue with Chorus, however consistent with all of us, I blame Coral and Ponder. I saw Weatherly signed with the Vikings, I think that’s the type of FA’s we’ll see signed this offseason due to the cut in the salary cap, however maybe the Vikings will get lucky and catch a really good veteran guy or two on a short deal this year. Hopefully the cap will start to recover next year and the year after. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s really weekend eve this time, plan the beer and meat menu for the weekend.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, tip your waiter from a safe distance, and Welcome Aboard!
