Good Morning, it’s Thorsday!

I’m bring the “Thorsday” moniker back for draft weekend, like a lot of you this is the culmination of a boring offseason with run up to the draft. The NFL draft weekend is one of my favorite weekends during the league year although I put the TV on mute and comment here I like seeing all the moves the league GM’s make, even when Rick makes me mad and trades down for eleventysix 7th round picks. Unfortunately, I’m working through the weekend so my participation will be limited to Twitter and here, so I won’t be getting the smoker ready for a brisket or a pork roast. Meanwhile, we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thorsday, one more day until it’s weekend eve and time to plan the beer and meat menu for the weekend.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, tip your waiter from a safe distance, and Welcome Aboard!
